Oct. 25 is National Call-In Day for Horses
Dearest Friends,
As you know, I am an advocate for all animals. The horses in our country are facing one of the most important legislative movements of all times hopefully in the next few days. The House of Representatives have recently passed a bill overwhelmingly to benefit horses after thousands of Americans spoke out in support. We need to encourage the Senate to do the same when they return from recess! All you have to do is make a quick call to your U.S. Senators. Together, we must light up the phones on Capitol Hill to send the message loud and clear that we want a permanent ban on horse slaughter now. Please join me in creating a better world for horses.
From the HSUS:
Please make a short polite phone call to your two U.S. Senators today. You can reach your Senators by calling the Capitol switchboard at 202-224-3121, or click here to find their Capitol office phone numbers. Making a call is easy. All you need to say is:
"I am a constituent and I am calling to ask my Senator to please protect our horses from slaughter. The House has voted overwhelmingly to pass the American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act (S. 1915) and now it is time for the Senate to act. Please do all that you can to cosponsor the American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act and move it to the Senate floor for an immediate vote. Thank you."

After you make your phone call, fill in the form at the right to automatically send an email-including our video detailing the tragedy of the Missouri accident-to your Senators and urge them to support and pass the American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act.
Thank you so much. It only takes a minute to make a HUGE difference in the life of 100's of thousands of horses. Let's send the message that we believe all creatures deserve a humane and just existence.
